Your real estate business needs a website that you can use to spread awareness of your brand, generate leads, and build relationships with prospects. It’s an indispensable tool for driving both short- and long-term real estate business.

Inner Circle Members have asked our recommendation for a real estate website solution. Here’s what our director of marketing, Tyler Marrin, had to say.

Short answer: For a real estate website you won’t go wrong with any of these services:

These are all-out-of- the-box solutions that should serve your needs.

Long answer: In order to know for sure what the best website solution is for you, you’ll need to rank what’s most important to you.

  • Speed
  • Features
  • Reliability
  • Maintenance
  • Ease of upgrading
  • Allowed number of simultaneous users
  • Pricing

If you’ve got the resources and the technical ability, though, consider a custom build.

When to build your own website

If you have someone tech-savvy to maintain and update the website, you’ll get the most bang for your buck by spending a few grand upfront on a custom WordPress site, then paying paying for hosting and IDX licenses at around $100–$200 per month.

If you don’t want to take on all the work of maintenance, keep it simple with a full-service solution like those listed above. I can’t recommend any of those solutions from firsthand experience, so make sure you look at other Realtors’ sites using that platform and ask about CRM integrations.
