Dan Lesniak began his real estate career with a Century 21 brokerage. During his first year as a real estate agent, he sold over $22 million in properties, a record-setting first year in the business. He realized that he didn’t achieve this success because of his relationship to Century 21. They did not provide the leads. They were not permitting him to brand himself or to offer additional services for his clients. And they were keeping too much of his commission. That’s why he left. While it might have seemed like a bold move at the time, it was the smartest one he made. His real estate career elevated tremendously after that. He was able to keep more of his profits and build a brand around himself, not his brokerage.
