During Episode 96 of The HyperFast Agent Podcast, Christina Daves, the founder of PR for Anyone, teaches the audience at the HyperFast Sales Summit how to get PR famous. Christina shares how to use publicity to increase your visibility and increase your profit in big ways in 2020.

Episode Highlights:

  • Close your eyes and imagine it's November 2020. You have the exact number of listings and the exact number of leads. If everything is exactly the same, are you happy?
  • The more visibility you have, the more customers you'll get. The more customers you get, the more money you're going to make.
  • The power of publicity has changed Christina's life.
  • If you write things down, you're more inclined to do them.
  • Write it down and commit to doing it.
  • Publicity is critical.
  • Christina owned a retail store and then retired. She had a freak accident and broke her foot. She started googling fashion accessories for medical boots and couldn’t find any, so she designed her own.
  • What she didn't realize was she had created a whole new space in the marketplace and had no money to promote it.
  • She taught herself all about publicity.
  • The great thing about publicity is it's free.
  • What makes you different? You have to establish a brand.
  • There is no more powerful way to get exposed to many people than television.
  • Podcasting is the thing right now. Think about being a guest on podcasts.
  • There is no magic pill. Are you willing to give it ten minutes a day?
  • Many clients have had success in less than 30 days.
  • The three-step process begins with PR.
  • PR is earned media. It's someone else telling the world how great you are.
  • Be newsworthy, create great hooks, and find the right journalist.
  • If you can provide good newsworthy story ideas, they will welcome you into their tribe.
  • Have confidence when you pitch.
  • Newsworthy = timely, important, interesting.
  • Getting into media outlets will also increase your authority when someone searches for you on Google.
  • Think about non-profits you care about. Other people who are passionate about those non-profits will also want to work with you.
  • You relate to like-minded people when you're very involved with a charity.
  • Ask how you can collaborate.
  • Think about anything you can tie into a celebrity with your properties. Maybe a movie was filmed there.
  • Know the history of your property.
  • Use holidays, both traditional and non-traditional holidays.
  • Monitor social media.
  • Media begets media.
  • You will get so much more business when you are willing to niche.
  • One really good article could be all you need.
  • Provide value to the end-user.
  • The subject line needs to be a great hook.
  • Look at hooks. Google them. Look at magazine covers.
  • The more you practice using hooks, the better you’ll get.
  • Google is the top resource for finding the right journalist.
  • Ask who writes about real estate for specific publications.
  • 90% of her success is follow-up.
  • There is no bigger megaphone than social media.
  • Social media doesn't have to be overwhelming.
  • PR and social media together is where the magic happens.
  • When you pay a PR firm, they do not guarantee results. They are just pitching the media.
  • The winners are the people who are implementing these strategies and learning how to do this.

3 Key Points:
